WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
Students may take one class or enjoy them all. To get the most out of our program and become a well-rounded performer, we strongly suggest our students take classes in voice, dance and acting.
Lessons are designed to connect students with their natural voices, help them articulate, and strengthen and sustain their voices, whether they’re in the classroom or on stage. Students receive support as they work to perfect breath support and ear training.
Our focus will be on musical theatre, which encompasses ballet, jazz, hip-hop and contemporary styles. Through daily warm-ups, exercises, and a series of dance combinations, students will learn proper technique, discipline, strength, flexibility, endurance and coordination.
This summer, students will focus on the dramatic process for stage acting. Through a series of icebreakers, improvisation and theatre games, we encourage creative and critical thinking, clean and effective communication and working collaboratively while embracing one’s personal voice. Actors emerge from the program with more confidence in their capability to learn and a stronger understanding of how to communicate successfully.
